Message that are great for the straights because they're really sticky, but they have soft sidewalls and allow a ton of flex while turning. I don't want that. I want to feel confident going into corners. If I take a corner a little bit hard during spirited driving through the twisties, I want tires that will keep me from sliding off the road (to a point obviously).

I was wondering if some might suggest a certain type of tire for the fronts (for cornering reasons) and a different type of tire for the rears (for straight-line acceleration traction reasons). What I'm hearing so far is the fronts and rears should be the same. Do you agree?

I'm not against running the same tires all the way around (sans sizes). I just want to make sure I pick the best all-around set for my purpose.
